Tommy Tynan - Swansea, Sheff Weds & Newport

Hi,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help - I'm putting together a presentation for a possible event with Tommy Tynan. Does anyone have any scans of Tommy in action for Swansea, Sheff Weds or Newport that they would be happy to share? Also, and I appreciate that this is a long shot, if anyone knows of anywhere that I might be able to find any video footage of Tommy's spells at those clubs mentioned please drop me a message. Being an Argyle fan I have plenty of Tynan-related media but I'm coming up short from his earlier days.

He's my all time hero too, buddy, broke my heart when he left for Argyle. He's even my avatar pic.

I used to have a whole load of photos & stuff about Tommy, but lost it all when my pc crashed a few years ago. That taught me a lesson about not backing up.

It'll have to be either tonight or maybe in a couple of weeks time chum, as I'm away in the morning for a while.

I've a club DVD here I can lend you, which is a compilation of Newport County from 1980 (Tommy, as you can guess, features heavily, there's lots of important footage / goals / etc you can lift, including winning promotion, the Welsh Cup, Europe '80/81, etc).

Right up until his departure to Devon in summer '83.

I can probably sort you out with all the photos you want from his time at Newport as well, not to mention a photo of a very young Tommy signing for Bill Shankly & Liverpool after winning the Echo competition. PM tonight, or I won't be around for a couple of weeks, unfortunately.
