International post advice

A wee bit of advice from postal service experts. A letter from South Africa sent tracked via SA Post, and I have the tracking ref number (no idea what level of tracking, although I did pay the equivalent of about £15 for it).

SA Post is notoriously slow and it seems to have taken a week to go from local post office to the “International Mail” centre no more than 30 miles away in Joburg. Anyway point is, Sunday it appears to have “left” South Africa, and the tracking number when entered into the Royal Mail tracking service also says the same but it has not yet been scanned in the UK.

Question is will it? or will Royal Mail just treat it as normal post and the next thing I hear is when it arrives through my letterbox?

No point checking on tracking progress any further if there's going to be none.

No update to say arrived in UK yet, I guess therefore I wont see any tracking until it is delivered.
