Mystery object 1974 World Cup

Anyone ever seen one of these and know what it is? Is it a weather vane?
Looks like it was stuck on something like a stick?
Dare not show the wife this one, she thinks I've got enough junk as it is [/i]

It looks like a bit of a tourist type souvenir, (tat to your Missus). As the venue for the '72 Olympics and one of the grounds for the '74 World Cup it seems to be proudly and graphically stating these claims to fame. You do not say what it is made of (plastic/enamel?)nor size but the threaded central stem would seem to go along with being mounted on a stick.

I would say it's a pennant designed for a push bike, I've seen similar German versions with springs.

I would agree Jim, and unlike Holtie's better half, I think it's ace.

Makes me feel like getting my Chopper out and doing some wheelies down the street in front of the girls to show off.
