Sad and shocking news to hear of the passing of Ugo Ehiogu at the age of just 44 this morning.
Immense player at Villa, Middlesbrough etc and for the last few years a coach at Spurs with the Under 23's.
Ugo was always one of those players I wished we had signed as a player and was always in my dream teams in the 1990's.

Blimey that one's a shock, how awful for his poor family.

He was the archetypal "good, honest centre-back" was Ugo; he'd have about eighty caps if he were playing in this era.

Always came across as a thoroughly decent, likeable bloke too.

RIP big fella.

Extremely sad day for football
A great character, bloody good footballer.

Having spent the last 8 weeks recovering from a similar condition, today's news hit me like a bombshell.

I hope his family can somehow, eventually, come to terms with this.

Terrible news about a great footballer and from all accounts. a lovely bloke. 44 is a ridiculously low age for someone so fit and strong. Life is indeed a bitch.

However, the fact that Derby1884 is making a recovery from something similar is a bit of good news.

RIP Ugo.

By all accounts, a players player and a gentleman.

Gave me great pleasure watching him when he was with Rangers, especially his spectacular winner v Celtic.
