http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Live.....1ea4fe3f48

I had the fortune of being at the Liverpool v Arsenal title decider in 1989 and highly value my programme from that night (even though it is not worth a great deal - selling for a tenner at most lately)..... it breaks my heart to see the attached ebay listing.

Someone had their programme signed by Thiery Henry and not only does it ruin the prog in my opinion by being totally irrelevant to the game in question, it is not even a clean signature (looks smudged in the pic)

The programme is totalle devalued in my opinion yet the seller talks about it like it is a good thing... shakes head.....

Wondered what the opinion of others was!

Yes I agree that this signature is totally irrelevant. I expect the seller thought it would make the programme more valuable. Personally I like autographs but don't like them on my covers, especially with these bloody thick permanent markers which you can't read half the time as they look like heiroglyphics done by pet spiders crawling in ink!!

I don't mind programmes with Signatures on the front if the player in question is on the front cover! Just my opinion, I know a lot of people don't or get signatures on the team page.

Given it has a reserve he must believe it is worth at least £50

People do collect autographs , and they may be totally uninterested in football or even programmes , ive seen many a modern programme ( even an FA Cup Final ) with a famous old timer International on the cover . . . its all subjective isnt it Nod bwether its worth 50p or 50 quid we will soon see, somebody thinks its worth more than 99p as hes bid twice

It did not sell - the reserve was not met (which must have been at least £50 )
