Interesting fact on tonight's game between San Marino and England the current longest serving manager in charge of a European international side is the manager of San Marino. He has lasted 14 years and they haven't won for 50 games, now that's what I call loyalty from the powers that be that run San Marino's international football team.

Their goalkeeper isn't a bad player - usually makes a few good saves - just a bit shellshocked and who could blame him.

Anyone know if the San Marino FC that plays in the Italian 3rd tier (I think) is a club based in San Marino?
It's just that their international squad doesn't seem to have any players from that club.

Confusing.

PS - how the hell are Scotland one up on Wales? That 1st half was embarrassing.

San Marino FC play at the same stadium that was used for last night's game.

The San Marino league has, I believe, two tiers with about 18 teams or thereabouts overall, and they 'share' the six (?) other pitches/grounds in the country - i.e. each match is allocated a random ground.
