Ken, not on your list, but I sold a Barcelona programme from February 1958 that had a lovely tribute inside it on page 3 "Requiem for Manchester Utd" I think it was.

Hi John Thanks for that information. So far in my collection of tributes in programmes to the Munich Disaster,I have about 28 clubs who printed such.Only 2 Scottish though, Hibs ,and Hearts.I wonder if Celtic and Rangers printed a tribute? One Rugby League Club did publish a message of sympathy to my knowledge,Doncaster RLFC.A Forum Member informed me of this. Thanks again John
Regards
KEN

Hi Ken

Blackpool issued 3 programmes in Feb/Mar 1958 but none of them contained any tributes.

Before final game the Super Cup of Europe 1991 , Sir Ales Ferguson promised that Manchester United will played a friendly match with Red Star in Belgrade, and never failed to fulfill that promise. As a reminder, European Supercup was supposed to play two games but for other reasons has played only one, which was won Manchester though the Red Star played a great match.
There were opportunities to do so, the last time in 2008, but, that is not. Too bad the captain of Manchester United Nemanja Vidic has not asked SAF to play against his former club, Red Star Belgrade in one game. But more important are the Manchester tour of the Far East, but the old friends.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This was in the Boston v Gainsborough Midland League programme from 8.2.58, in the programme v Rotherham Utd Res a week later notice was given of a half time collection for those affected.

Not sure if you will have this one on your list. There was a tribute in the Arsenal v Southend Football Combination match on 8th February.

If its any consolation that 1991 Red Star belgrade team gave the best performance by an away team since i've been going to Old Trafford(1971).
