Collecting FA Cup final programmes?

Hi all,

I am weighing up whether to concentrate on completing some season sets for my club or work on collecting FA Cup Final programmes.

I have some FA Cup Final programmes already and was wondering if this area of collecting was popular amongst collectors? Also, how far have people gone back (what year) with their collections of FA Cup final programmes?

I've gone back to 1951, the year I was born, but also have the 1948 final programme.

Well the has never been a better time to collect finals. You can be very selective and still get them 50% of what they were 2 years ago.

I initially started to buy a programme from every FA Cup final back to 1946, then once this was completed I moved onto having a ticket and then on completion moved onto song sheets. I'm now onto enamel badges!! In my experience it is better to wait a few months after the stampede has died down to secure the best deal
