Just looked at my European ticket stubs for quite some time, and loads from the rearly 2000s have the match details/ink faded to almost invisibility. Worst offenders are Celtic, Liverpool, and Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese teams eg Juventus, Barcelona, Porto. Others such as Man Utd and Newcastle still are fine. Anyone else come across this?

Hi, I have Tottenham away tickets at Milan 71/2 and Barcelona 81/2 that are fine. Could it be how you have stored them? No paper likes the light and will fade due to this otherwise no idea.

Hi thanks for reply, my tixkets from those earlier eras are fine too. all the ones affected are from 2000 to 2004, and was wondering if it was some new (but cheap) printing process used by some clubs at the time. As mentioned, others from then, such as Newcastle United, have stood the test of time.

Liverpool home European tickets between 2001-3 were very feint in print when they came out to be honest. Especially the 2001 semi v Barcelona.

A number of tickets from Italy and Spain from late 90s and early 2000s have very feint print. Inter and Valencia being the worst.
