Does anyone have a spreadsheet of what was issued for matches in this collecting category that they are willing to share?

About the same number as Hibs Sherlock

I have all the Hearts home/away apart from the impossible 50/60's aways. Considering expanding this.

Rangers first v Nice 56/7 and most expensive issue. No issue v Vorwaerts 61/2 as the game was played in Sweden for some reason
St Johnstone first v Hamburg 71/2 and hardest issue. No non issues
St Mirren first v Elfsborg 80/1, all easy and no non issues

I did have them all but sold most of them a few years ago.
I still have some of the harder to obtain ones from the 60s available.

The match against Vorwarts was abandoned at half time due to fog,the match was replayed in Malmo the following day.

As far as I am aware the reason why the Rangers vs Vorwaerts
was played in Sweden,is that the East Germans were refused visas to
enter the UK,the same applied for the Swansea vs Motor Jena 61/62
CWC match, which I belive was played in Austria! Hope this helps?

You're right, this from wiki
The Rangers-Vorwärts tie scheduled to be played at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow was finally staged at the Malmö Stadion, Malmö, Sweden, the East German side having again been refused visas to enter Britain. The original match in Malmö was abandoned due to heavy fog (Rangers were winning 1-0) and the match was replayed the following morning.

Thanks for the list of non issues. I'm a casual collector of any Euro programmes so great to see this. Thumbs Up

Linfield were forced to concede a walkover to an East German team in the early 60s too due to the visa issue

Linfield actually played the away leg v Vowaerts but couldn't afford to travel again once the East Germans were refused visas for the return.

Glenavon also travelled to Berlin in 1960 and indeed played a friendly v Hertha (programme issued) but had to withdraw from a tie v Wismut.

Note no programme produced for Coleraine v Kilmarnock. There was a fake done on a Word Processor (which only existed in IBM labs at the time). While it is possible to believe the Coleraine editor travelled to the United States and got access to the IBM labs to produce their issue v Killie it is highly unlikely he mispelled the name of their captain although the Killie editor 2 weeks later used the same misspelling not to mention ripping off the text from the Coleraine programme. Or maybe somebody in Scotland did a fake based on the Killie programme.........

Only Aberdeen home non issue was v Real Zaragoza 6869
I don't believe aways exist for -
6768 Standard Liege
6869 Real Zaragoza
7071 Honved (although seen something)
7778 RWD Molenbeek
7879 Marek Dimitrov
8283 Dinamo Tirana
8283 Waterschei
9091 New Salamis
0708 Atletico Madrid (pirate only)

I have nearly all Aberdeen Euro home spare and a large selection of aways if anyone interested ?

Also various others inc Celtic, Hibs and Dundee Utd

Scott

Re Aberdeen aways - No issue at Torino in 93/94, I was there. No issue at Legia Warsaw 90/91 to my knowledge.

Strictly speaking Juventus 71/72 is also a non-issue, although the Juve monthly club magazine 'Hurra Juve' is often seen as a reasonable substitute.

There was a programme issued for Standard Liege 67/68, for which I have had a scanned copy of the cover in the past. Unfortunately I have had PC problems in the last couple of years, so I'm not sure if I still have it. PM me if you want me to look it out.

I noted that Panathanaikos 07/08 isn't on your non-issue list. What do you have from that game, as my understanding is it is also a non-issue. Is it a club magazine?

Cheers
Peter

Peter,

Thanks for those updates. I have seen a Torino monthly mag which has some detail. Forgot about Legia.
I have the Juve Hurra which are quite expensive in the UK but you can get them cheaper from ebay.it

I would like to see that Standard Liege cover (PM sent)

There was a monthly club mag from Panathanaikos, I have seen it but not searched too hard for it.

Also Celta Vigo and Porto are newspaper versions, had both but lost a couple of years back !!!!

Hello,

I am looking for St Johnstone versus Hamburg in 1971, both the Home and Away legs, any ideas?
