Im a little stuck storing my programmes and was looking to nicely store them on bookcases. at the moment they are in boxes but i want to bind them into folders but dont know where to start?
Can they be released once bound, how do i equate for different sizes each year. I have a compete set from last 50 years, so im guessing this could be an expensive option and potentially cost me more than the programmes are worth
Any advice appreciated !?

Hi, I would say do not bind them, they cannot be sold as easily if you ever want to and it would be expensive. Why not buy these folders with plastic wallets you can insert the programmes into. That would be my option.

I have 26 of them now (yes it's been expensive, but I think you will agree, they look smart.

They look great and individual ones can be removed if ever required. That was the option I would choose.

I have just ordered my first one. Will see how they fair and if impressed I may make a bulk order.

How sturdy inside are they Grantham? e.g. if the binder is on the shelf as you have yours, how secure/firm are the programmes?

What era do you keep in them?

I also have binders from them but only to store my premid-50s items. Doesn't seem much point buying them for the 60s and 70s items as the binders worth more than the programme Smile

They are however excellent for the older progs which are light and thin and small. The pockets are nice and solid and good protection and stand upright.

The pockets inside each have card as well, I store my 40-70's in these, I've also added extra pockets to most seasons so they contain 25 double sided pockets so can store complete seasons of 50 programmes in most.

If you contact modern bookbinders directly they offer discounts for larger purchases and let you pay by cheque as there is less costs for them that way.

I have tried a number of different binders and methods of storage, but when it comes to programmes that are worth £5-£75 each, I'm more than happy to pay that little bit more for proper storage of them.

They also offer custom labels as well, as per my pic for something like 7p each, look very professional as well

All of the above makes it sound like an advert for them, I have nothing to do with them, just thought I would recommend a decent product

it is also a lot cheaper if you collect them rather than get them posted, i know this is not practical for most, but they are in Blackburn where i go to watch my football. I bought my first from them a couple of years ago and i even suggested i sell them on their behalf at the London Fair, they never took me up on it.

I'd be more than happy to co-ordinate the bulk purchase if we have enough interest

They do prefer cash and it gets bigger discounts, and as for 7p for the label thats the first time i have heard them charge for the label

And i have nothing to do with them either Smile

Can I just confirm that both the A4 and standard sizes come with inside cars?

Also, how much does it cost to buy extra double sided pockets as this isn't listed on their site?

Yes, both come with heavyweight paper/thin card insert.
Extra pockets work out at 40p each including postage

I have upgraded most of mine to have 25 pockets instead of the default 15

These are great for more bulky modern season issues.

I can recommend programmebinders too.

They do great bags and boards too and Matt will go the extra mile for return customers.
