Dundalk v Sligo Rovers 8-4-96.... not rare by any stretch of the imagination but has eluded me for the past couple of years. That's me complete at home back to 1991, 21 complete seasons. Just another 64 seasons to go....

And this presents the real dilemma of bidding for other programmes you have no interest in. I didn't that time, but TBH thought the price realised was quite reasonable. However, when the once in a lifetime opportunity turns up...

Know that my programme collecting seams to have dryed up all together (not picked anything of interest up for the last six months) , i have branched out into collecting Wolves Scrap/Books covering 67 to 75 seasons ,picked up two over Christmas and one this week ,well pleased with those ,make great reading.

Picked up Leeds v Cardiff 1951/52 on eBay not so long ago for a price I was more than happy with, a week later a copy in a lot worse condition went for £2 less to a well known dealer.

This issue seems to be on quite a few Leeds and Cardiff wants lists.

Chuffed with this purchase.

1972-73 Southern League Cup programme for Stevenage Athletic v Wealdstone arrived today, in near mint condition. Very happy with it.

Just managed to get me hands on Yugoslavia v Wales 1953 and a ticket -happy with that... down to single figures for wales home and away back to the war now.

Three i doubt ill ever get - romania and finland away 1971 and spain away 1961.

Ive never seen the romania or finland programme in 20+ years of collecting.

Mega rare single sheet from the game when it was finally played after a postponement Very Happy

Also picked up two of the FA Cup replays between Stoke and Bury 54/55 at Anfield and Old Trafford Very Happy

Still need the one from Goodison though Sad

Now down to two aways and 5 homes wanted from 46/47 onwards and a handful of postponements.

Boy am i happy finaly obtained a Darlaston v Kettering F.A.Cup 75 prog been searching for a copy of this for ages.

Realy strange hoby this prog collecting , i had not picked up anything of my Kettering 75/76 & 76/77 seasons"wants" list for several months and then i go and pick up three in the space of a couple of weeks ...and one of those i did not even know exsisted ?.

Two this week but very costly.

One of cardiff's hardest welsh cup single sheets - City v Hereford 57/58 season condition not brilliant but fully signed by both sides

Also picked up a nice welsh cup semi final replay against swansea at Llanelli from 61.

Two more off the list - time to give the credit card a break for a few weeks !!

Arsenal v Everton 1938-39 - which I wasn't actively seeking but means a lot to me as it was the first Everton game my Dad went to.

Everton v Fulham 1952-3 - reaching a complete home set of first team games since 49-50.
