I have a reprint of this somewhere that I bought about 10 years or so ago with much thicker paper than the original.

Don't know about the value but your bidder has an incredible amount of retracted bids....15 Shocked

I take it the other one on eBay is a reprint, may be original looking at the £4 postage though Shocked again!!

100% sure you have a Reprint.. And it was not me that sold it to you, Martin Corrie who runs the London New Year Fair had several hundred of them.

Hi do you think this is a reprint (Does the reprint state reproduction ,and when was the reprint produced)
This seems to me to be genuine has that lovely old programme smell but if its an old reprint then it would.

The cover of a real one from that season is wafer thin.
The copy has a thicker cover I have just looked at my Reprint and a Villa programme from the same season..

The cover on this is not really thick but i would not say it is paper thin either as i am very undecided i think i may have to remove it from auction as i do not want to deceive anyone even although it has bids on it id rather play it safe or revise it and say possible reprint ,it was in amongst some chelsea programmes i bought these were ex bound volume from the 1920s so just took it that it was from around that period and could explain the old musty programme smell .

Thanks for your help.

By eck - 1920s programmes on a car boot sale? Shocked

I have been trawling car boot sales for years and have only occasionally come across programmes earlier than the 70s. Crying or Very sad

If this is part of a collection it could indicate it being genuine. Hey-ho, guessing you paid a relatively low price for them and will be quids in whether real or a reprint.

Any Chelsea v Leeds in there?

True blue if you want anymore let me know I have three, the chances of it being original is about as remote as Albion winning the Premier League

I'm also 100% sure you have a reprint.

Does anyone know when it was reprinted and why only this programme from Villa's Championship winning season.

Ebay History for this programme is...
April 2011 - £46 (looked like a copy)
October 2011 - £51 (not sure if original)
November 2011 - £27 (ex bound volume original with no cover)

No Chelsea leeds and in my opinion i did not pay a great deal for the programmes just under a £100 for 13 programmes 12 Chelsea and what i now believe possible reprint which i have not said either way on my listing but will leave it down to the buyers too decide.
