As I mentioned before my Mother runs a pub/hotel in Milton Keynes and was thinking about an end of season drink which has been mentioned on here. Was wondering how many on here would be interested in attending one and how many would be interested in having a stall if we was to double this up with a small programme fair during the day, with drinks to follow in the evening. Rooms would be avilable for any wishing to stay over.

Will need to double check but I'd say there would be enough room for about 10 stalls and there are few local dealers here that I could contact and Andy may be able to help with this one.

I would gladly advertise this in the local paper’s here as to attract buyers to this should I make it happen.

Thought it would also be a good way of meeting a few the faces we deal with on here.

Early stages but any thoughts or ideas would be very much appreciated

Great idea mate!

I don't think I would be able to make it this season as I need to pay off my car, season ticket, loan and holiday so it's gonna be a quiet summer for me unfortunately Sad

I'm sure some of the members would be up for it though as Milton Keynes is central for most people and not too far to get to.

Will offer any help I can.

Even if it's to spend all my spare cash there!

Would love to do it Mark, sounds like a really good idea, but I'm in the same position as Barrett. I'm absolutely skint, which is why I'm trying not to buy at the moment.

There's no time limt on doing this so we could book it up well in advance which may give others a chance to save up some much needed £££ for it.

Sounds like a great idea mate. When were you thinking of having it? I've got exams until the beginning of June and then I'm probably going to be working soon after that, so not sure if I'll be able to make it or not. Definitely be up for it if I'm free though.

Have no date in mind as yet Geddon as was just wanting to get some feedback on the idea first - I have spoken to my Mum, who has said anyone wishing to stay the evening can have rooms at a much reduced rate of £25 a night.

I'd be up for it, how much were you looking at for stalls, i've got a small amount of programmes surplus to my requirements around 2300, plus i got over 100 MK ice hockey programmes surplus to my collection.

If it can't be done during the summer, then what would be great for me is on a saturday during the ice hockey season especially if the MK Lightning are playing at home to well any bar Telford or swindon really. Programme fair in the morning and Ice hockey game in the evening, don't think i could have a better saturday Very Happy don't tell my girlfriend i said that though Wink

Is it anywhere near chiquito's, it's just where there is no ice hockey from april until late September, we've not had the chance to go to a game in MK which always involves going to chiquito's first and we always seem to have the same waitress who is from essex, and she is quite good for a bit of banter (kent/Essex rivalry Smile), one of our lot in his early 30's ended up being given a colouring in book after we ordered so he could do something "positive" whilst we awaited our food.

Great idea Mark. I'd certainly be up for it as it would be good to meet some of the people on here. I'd also take a stall as well and bring with whatever people asked as well as some of the stock on my catalogue.
