My Yeovil Collection - the story

Like so many others on here, I inherited quite a lot of my programmes from a good friend. He started bringing me to Yeovil Town matches well before I started school and continued right through until I was old enough to go with my friends.

All this time he would give me his programmes once he had read them then one day he gave me a whole heap more. I continued to collect them and although I moved houses several times, I always made the effort to keep them and move them with me. Sadly that friend passed away in 2001, annoyingly just two years before we reached the Football League. His widow gave me a few more programmes he had stored in the attic.

Now I have my programmes stored almost chronologically in six Ikea CD towers in my front room. I'm guesstimating there must be around 800 in total but last week, my collection almost doubled when the club, clearing out the offices, came across a few hundred more which they gave to me. So my work over the next 3-6 months is to sort them all out, catalogue them and sell the duplicates.

I was at the home match v Telford the seaon you got promoted to the league - 3-0 from memory and a good day out.

Do you have any programmes covering matches v Millwall pre 1950 that are going spare bby any chance?
