In all respect the Leeds programme is worth £4. I was mortified back in the early years of the new millenium when they put it up to £3 but having got and read the Newcastle programme I have no prob paying £4.

100 pages, plenty to read about and not too many adverts.

When you consider that around 1990 the programme was still priced at £1, to be paying treble that ten years later in 2000, the increase to £4 in 2011 is hardly a surprise.

Not defending Ken Bates (I don't particularly like the bloke being in charge of Leeds) but I expect that the cost of the printers producing the programmes go up over the years hence the face value.

I will look forward to the journey to Elland Rd on Tuesday for the Bradford game, I will also look forward to paying for a programme which is worth the money.

I bought one yesterday down at Southampton, £3....not worth 3p.

Saying that, I was impressed by Southampton on the field (although we were abysmal) I think the Saints are in for a good season.

As for Leeds? who knows!

Norwich have this week confirmed our programme will be £3.50 for a hundred pages, so how accurate that survey is, I am not sure.

All you're basically doing with current season programmes nowadays is buying the club brand, and their own advertising. It's another mild form of mugging of fans, and I find you can get far better news and views about most clubs on the various fans forums nowadays.

It came from the BBC so I wouldn't give it much credit.

I thought 2 seasons ago 09/10 City's was the best programme in the Premier League however i thought last seasons 10/11 was good but didn't reach the heights of the season before.
Hopefully this seasons will get back up to that level and i would not be at all surprised if ours were £3.50 this season as we have been £3 since 06/07

I will buy every programme from every Leeds game this season. already, I find it hard to imagine one which is worse than Southampton's.

The sad thing is, they must think it is good - they have an on-line version Shocked

Surely that is nothing new though, and hardly surprising? as long as there is good readable content makign the programe worth the money, I couldn't care less how many adverts there are trying to sell be seaso tickets/merchandise/club credit cards etc.
