Spain programmes, still non-existent?

Spain v Northern Ireland 11/11/70.
I corresponded with the late N/I Captain Derek Dougan at the time of said fixture and asked him if he would be able to obtain for me a prog from this game, he droped me a nice note soon after informing me although he had a good look around NO progs were issued for this game.
I collect progs spaning The Doogs N/I career 57 to 73 and i have never seen one "pirate" or otherwise so think you can take it on good authority nothing was ever issued for this game.

Thanks for the update on Spain v NI.

You were unlucky with Italy v Rep. of Ireland. I got the 2 copies 30 years ago and it was previously thought to be a non issue. I swopped one with an experienced collector then (I was just a kid starting out) and it since changed hands to another experienced collector who sold his aways a couple of years ago. So there have been 2 on ebay in recent years.

Much more common Irish aways such as Holland 56 have made far higher prices. However a couple of great collections of Rep. of Ireland aways have been on the market in recent years which keeps prices down. A Holland 34 away sold for approx £500 at auction last year. I paid several multiples of that to get it 5 years earlier in a private deal.

please, does exist a similar website for Eire, including match progs ?

It would be interesting to know why exist a prog. on Yugoslavia vs. Wales (EC 1976) but nothing about EC qualifying match Yugoslavia vs. Northern Ireland (1975)...

on turkish progs (nightmare so as albanian) a collector of Istanbul (Mr. Abdullah Tirali) told me he was the best one in his Country but when I asked him to show one of his progs (EC '72 qualifying stages and so on) he didn't answer...

Well the Scotland game is being played in Alicante. Long shot, but does anyone know if Hercules or Alicante CF issue programmes or magazines or anything? Just wondering if we can expect to see something issued by either club in addition to the Spanish FA “Dossier” issue.

for instance, I've just bought the unofficial programme for 1976 WC qualifying match Italy vs England in Rome... unfortunately in the seventies and so on, in Italy we weren't used to keep match progs... only some sports journalist...

It will be impossible to find out what will be issued for this game in advance.

Options include

1) Dossier VIP only issue very difficult to get hold of.

2) Free local newspaper issue - aimed at home fans - easy to get once you are there and spot it outside

3) Spanish FA monthly magazine possibly distributed to home fans only doubles as a programme - don't think they've done this for a while

4) leaflet with match details given out free again possibly only to home fans.

5) Spanish pirate done by Miguel from Madrid - a familiar face in southern Europe when teams from these isalnds play away. Normally has a trademark barcode on the cover, sold for 5 euro in the pubs

If you are there it can still be tough if not most if not all will probably be on ebay, probably best to go in within an hour of kickoff (not earlier) collect what you can outside. Get a seat in the home end near the VIP area and try and beg a dossier issue over the wall/glass.
