FA Cup Final Programme in WH Smith

Picked up a copy of this weekend's FA Cup Final programme today in my local WH Smith store. Nice to get it early for a change.

Never seen an England programme in Smith's but I think it all depends on which store you go to as this is the first time my store has had an FA Cup Final programme.

Our WH Smiths did sell the England programes about 2/3 years ago but none recently that I've seen.

They have been doing it for a while now. I have picked up both 2010 and 2009 programmes from Smiths. England's are always in there aswell.

Arent the FA Cup Final programmes in WHSmith different from the ones sold at the ground?

Something to do with a barcode being printed?

The ones in Carlisle's WH Smiths were as it didn't come with the re-print. Thankfully I knew of the re-print before hand so didn't buy one.

Wait a year or so and they'll be £4 buy it now on eBay

Reprint?!! What reprint is this then?

The WHSmiths issues don't have a bar code on, but at first glance it's hard to deem it as a programme, more a magazine or guide!!

After a bit of research, I have found that it seems you will be very fortunate to get one of these reprints as not everyone has them. One dealer has them but states that they are a limited edition. Another dealer has suggested that they are not officially issued with the programme. I would be very unhappy if I had to buy another one. Thanks for the info.

Sorry for the confusion - it does seem that only one dealer is sending them out with the re-print but like you say it wasn't actually sold with the programme like I had thought.

My WH Smiths issue does have a barcode on the bottom of the back page though it's disguised in the shape of the FA Cup trophy. Would be interested to know if other copies have this barcode.

There probably all the same, I quickly looked today to see if there was a white barcode there. To be honest it was only a quick glance.
