What about a section on the site where we could get a scan of one prog from as many teams as poss from the current season.

Cheers Jamie.

Thanks for the idea Jamie,

Following on from the current "Programme Guide" section, once we have added the charity shield, league cup, euro cups etc to this guide we then intend to have a scan of a home programme for each team for each season going back as far as possible! Obviously that would cover your current season requst also Smile

Brilliant idea pastpirate!

Following on from what Craig said, the idea you have mentioned is already in the pipeline after we have uploaded all the scans of cup finals etc..

Craig has mentioned maybe a scan of a programme from 'every team' from as many season back as possible! That seems like quite a big task! Although we do like to be challeneged here at FPC Wink

Personally I think a scan from as many teams as possible from the 'current season' would be enough but that's just my opinion.

Also a question I would like to ask you lot - how far in the leagues should we go back? League Two? Blue SQ Prem? County Leagues?

I think just getting the whole of the Football League would take a while and should definitely be the first task!

Regarding the scans, I can help out with quite a few of them if and when you need them, obviously I can give you Swansea homes going back to 1946 (we had the same cover design for a number of seasons in the 50s/early 60s, so should be able to do them all), as well as Championship teams for the current season - only 11 so far though! Let me know if you need any and I'll see what I can do.

Definitely sounds like a great idea though Jamie.

Hi

we have a german programme collectors forum which is sorted a little different as this one here.

there are headlines for

Bundesliga (1,2,3)
Amateurs (which would be conference in GB)
Women
Youth
Cup
European games
foreign leagues
full internatioals

and than other topics like in this forum
fairs
exchange
offers
other sports ..........

so you can post more specialised. For example people go for an EC away game. Who need tickets/programmes. Was there a prog. issued.
Or if more members go for a full international. What about a meeting or traveling together.

this communication makes the forum members more chatting.

Next thing are the chronicle on the main homepage

they try to list covers from all german internationals, Cup games, german clubs in EC. If there was a cover there will be a scan. If you don´t know or if there was no prog issued they sign it different. That makes it very easy for the younger collectors to see what they can go for.

Maybe not all of this ideas are usable in this Forum / Internet Paltform but maybe you grabbed some new ideas

Olly

Think that the Prem to League Two should be covered first in alphabeticle order rather than each division. (This would mean that there would be no need to move clubs into different sections at the end of each season, except the two that go up and down from League 2/Conf). I think it wouldn't be to hard to get them covered back to the first season after the war. Then the Conference could be covered and on down the leagues as time goes by.

Would it be possible for all of us to post the scans? Otherwise it will be a hell of a lot of work for one person to transfer them all to the site as we all send them in.

Have just seen this section (even though I visit the forum several times a day).

Has any work been started on this??? Can volunteer to send scans of the Leeds home issues back to 47/48.

Let me know if a certain file type is preferred??

Hi KCs,

No, Sadly as you may have noticed no work has been carried out on the site since last year as ive been too busy working on the day job for the last 2 or 3 months!!! It doesnt look like their is going to be any let up either for the next few months which is a shame but there just isnt enough hours in the day to do what id like to!
