Any collectors of these on here and does anyone know if they carry much value ??

I have recently started collecting early 1950's and 1940's handbooks, plus pre war non league items. They do not attract anything like the price of programmes, despite being far more informative, easier to store, and usually great reading. I'm picking up 40's items for less than a tenner usually (I make numerous bids on ebay, all under £10, and if I get them, brilliant, if I don't, nothing lost) You'll be better off with a final salary pension scheme, but I love them. What you need to take into account is that these were always usually sold pre season, in newsagents, as well as club shops, so there were always plenty of them, but with a limited run dependent on the size of the support. The harder to get hold of issues are usually well away from London where even pre war issues are fairly common.
