Did anyone watch the auction or indeed bid today ?

https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/bourne-end-auction-rooms/catalogue-id-srbou10470/lot-c9dbe096-9b94-4fec-996c-b2b50113b016

Nice bundle, but there must be something of value hidden away for it to go for £1700+ commission

Anything obvious to anyone, other than a few older FA Cup finals, a Chelsea home from 1921

They have form ^^^, Andy. They just tend to bundle large programme lots together so goodness knows what was lurking therein. Obviously something of decent resale value.

Not sure what took it so high but it was worth way more than the £40-60 estimate! There was a 1934-5 Man Utd home, 2 amateur cup finals from the 20/30’s at Arsenal and pretty well all fa cup finals from 1946 on plus a 1934 cup final but in poor condition and a 1943 war cup final at Sheffield Wednesday. Also several amateur cup semi and finals from 1950’s at Middlesbrough and Newcastle and a lot of 1950’s non league stuff as well as loads of more modern stuff.
I fancied c £1k worth with the big value stuff but not sure £1700 plus fees unless I missed stuff which is possible as it was in no order and just stuffed in a couple of boxes.

I did bid but much too rich for me at that price but clearly a couple of people saw something more in there !

I was never going to bid, but had a feeling it was going £1000+ so made a note to watch the auction
