Not old enough to have seen Tony play, but I read Malcolm Allison's book 'Colours of My Life' and Malcolm held him in the absolute highest esteem

He was at Man City from 1966-1974 and made 315 appearances

1st Division Champions 1968
Charity Shield 1968
FA Cup 1969
League Cup 1970
European Cup Winners Cup 1970
Charity Shield 1972
League Cup 1976 (as manager)

Incredible haul.

A great stalwart as player and manager.
And just missed winning the League for City as manager by a single point in 1976/77.

Even more remarkable was that his professional career only started at age of 30 and he joined Manchester City when 32.

I can't think of any other player who started so late and won so much

RIP
