I don't know if this is common knowledge or not if you Google George Bests first senior appearance it usually refers to his debut against WBA, not his first senior start does this game go under the radar? Anyway there is one for sale in Sportinggolds upcoming auction.
A couple have been for sale on eBay lately £7.50 and £5.99 the latter didn't sell however neither were listed as George's first senior appearance I suspect the sellers didn't know.
Even so there seems a big disconnect between values I suspect the auction won't sell, but I will wait and see.
I don't think it's a rare prog as a guess at the attendance would be 8-10k which was not uncommon then for the reserves although I don't know the att here.

I notice that it is also in Lot 247 with the complete season of Manchester United Reserves 1963/64 at James & Sons auction.

Just watched the auction not sure if it sold or not will wait for confirmation later didn't have sound on, but started £10 20 then to £70 was the screen however doesn't show as sold on completed lots.
Wonder if this is when it's sold to the room at below the estimate.
Some remarkable prices paid for other lots Newtown v Man Utd friendly 1982 £1200 plus the extras.

Hi everyone,

I think it is quite interesting that George Best's first senior appearance usually refers to his debut against WBA, not his first senior start. I think it definitely shows how much of an impact his debut made. It's lucky that we can still get the chance to own a piece of football history through Sportinggolds upcoming auction. I'm sure lots of people would be interested in that!

You've got a better chance to buy it more cheaply at James in a couple of months.
