Having attended a number of fairs to promote my various books, I have decided to add a new event to the schedule as Essex has been sadly lacking in this area. Hence the 'Essex Retro Football Show' will take place in Loughton on 10th September. Most of the stallholder spots are now filled but there's still room for one or two more (contact details on the flyer). Hope to see some of you there.

What’s the difference between a “Fair” and a “Show” ?

It's a good question...and you aren't the first to query it! I've called it a show because there's already a 'Retro Football Fair' brand out there so wanted to differentiate myself. I also have ambitions for expansion to add a 'show' element at some point. But, in a nutshell, there's no difference!

If that still doesn't do the trick, the venue is as below:

The Loughton Club,
8 Station Road,
Loughton,
IG10 4NX

It's five minutes' walk from the Central Line station.

There's an 'Essex Retro Football Show' Facebook page if you have any questions (or email: [email protected]).

Thanks

If you do end up bringing your 9-year-old I'm sure he'll be particularly interested in the Panini giveaway!

I'm delighted to say Mark Barnes, of Welling Collectables/West London Programme Fair fame, has confirmed his attendance for the Essex Retro Football Show. Mark will be concentrating on shirts this Sunday. That completes the list of stallholders.

One day to go until the inaugural Essex Retro Football Show. There's a wide range of stallholders to cater for all football memorabilia interests. Panini have kindly supplied giveaways for the first 30 people through the door and Backpass are providing heavily discounted recent issues. If it's supported well enough by visitors this won't be the first and last Essex Retro Football Show! Smile

Many thanks to everyone who attended today's Essex Retro Football Show. An eclectic mix of stallholders brought 90 people through the doors - a hugely encouraging number for a first event. If there are any potential stallholders who are interested in getting on-board for future events please let me know. I'll be speaking with the current stallholder list over the coming weeks in terms of the best day for the next event.
