Our Rugby Federation released a commemorative program dedicated to tour of Barbarians in Russia in 1992. Unfortunately circulation is very small.

In Krasnoyarsk 30th anniversary of match between the local Krasny Yar team and the Barbarians was celebrated and a memorabilia for the players was released. Naturally, I couldnt help but buy it for myself.

I live in a depressive poor province of Russia. It is size of Austria, but population is 10 times smaller. 60% of territory is forests. Lots of rivers, lakes and swamps.
Unfortunately there is no rugby team in the province, there is only a childrens academy in Tver.
But on the other hand, they play the old Russian game "kila" here. There are four teams here!

Our team will not have matches for a long time, so I want to introduce yours to my collection of rugby game jerseys of USSR and Russia national teams.

In 2024 the 50th anniversary of the Slava Rugby Club Moscow will be celebrated. This season I doing programs with image of former players of the club.

And one more good news. On 29 October match Russia - Russian Barbarians will take place.
Barbarians will be coached by Strela Kazan and Khimik Dzerzhinsk by JP Neil and John Malvihill (Recently trained real Barbarians for match against Spain).
Barbarians will have a lot of foreign players playing in Russia. The game will take place in Volgograd (Stalingrad). I wont go there.

This is second game of the Russian Barbarians. First took place in 2013 for 90 years of domestic rugby.

Before the match players of Slava Moskva, champions of USSR in 1982 were awarded with memorable prizes.
