Just wanted to add another to the list

http://www.thenationalfootballcollection.org.uk/category/programmes-tickets/

The UK's largest football memorabilia collection, which includes a large number of war time and pre-war programmes.

No obligation valuations available on programmes from that era, and cash waiting if you are looking to sell.

Many other items also of interest - matchworn shirts, ephemera, international caps, medals - you'll get the picture on the site!

Is this a wealthy individual who is accumulating a private collection? investors?

Yes. In the About Us section of the website it states

"What Is The National Football Collection?
The National Football Collection has been assembled by businessman Neville Evans, who has loaned a section of his collection to the National Football Museum for display. As passionate fans of all things football, we are interested in any items of quality relating to the sport in order to help share and preserve its history."

I've never met Neville (we spoke on the phone years ago) but I know he has a superb collection. I've enjoyed browsing the website.

As you've spotted in the 'About Us' section, yes it is a wealthy individual.

To date Neville has amassed a collection of more than 28,000 matchworn shirts for starters - including one from every Wales match since WW2.

I work for his day-to-day business, and help to secure further items on the side - keeps me busy! Laughing

Further to the above I am unsure as to the website.

See the picture on the website of this Cardiff programme:

Then see the programme on the website of my collection:

Hi Chris,

The owner drops an assorted mix of items on my desk on a regular basis from his archives, which I work my way through and list on the site.

Looks like this one crossed my path nearly two years ago, so it'll be safely tucked away again now.

Great site by the way!

Given Neville has such a superb collection I really doubt he'd try to claim having a programme he doesn't.

It may be an error but depending on when you got yours I'd be concerned re a reprint. The chances of two programmes from the time having an identical raffle number and both surviving are extremely slim.

There is usually a slip with each item to confirm whether it came from auction, valuation request, eBay etc - but sadly too late for me to check on this one as it'll be stored away.

I won mine at an auction last month.

I have compared all the folds and rusting and little nicks etc. The team changes have been written on. Exactly the same.

Hi Chris,

Right... got to the bottom of this one.

On occasion, we do end up with duplicates from the same game - so this one was sold on last month via auction.

I'll de-list it from our site so there is no confusion - apologies for that, i didn't realise!
