Happened to stumble in to the better halfs eBay account last night to see she had won a pre-war Chelsea v Leeds programme.

I would hazard a guess that she is not collecting and has made a start on her Christmas shopping!! If it's for me then happy days, if not then er well...

Either way Christmas should be fun this year!! (He best not be a Chelsea fan) Shake Shake

Keep us posted on Boxing day, if it was a Christmas day disappointment that you didn't get said programme. Although if I were her, I'd also check this forum, realise that you had seen that and not give it to you on Christmas Day just for the fun it would cause Smile

To be fair, I'd keep checking her account in case she starts listing items you already own Smile

Can safely say this is not one of mine, although I didn't think of this!!!

Will check on a weekly basis to make sure the Leeds homes are not for sale, it is also safe to say I would come across them in the hours I waste searching eBay.

Christmas and Boxing Day will certainly be an experience If Father Christmas does not deliver the goods (so to speak)

Comments are very good though Grantham!! Laughing Laughing

That really would be the ultimate insult to a Leeds fan wouldn't it...(for those with short memories..)

http://www.thewinningmind.co.uk/fourfourtwo4.htm

The 1970 FA Cup Final replay between Chelsea and Don Revie’s Leeds vintage – pound for pound, probably the hardest team in history – was a two-hour gorefest so brutal it’s surprising the recent DVD release didn’t require cuts from the censors. When it was re-refereed by David Elleray by modern rules 25 years later, he whipped out 20 yellow cards and six reds – and that was 10 years ago. “We’d have been down to five-a-side by half-time by today’s rules,” smirks Chopper

Your all be pleased to know that the Chelsea v Leeds 1937 FA Cup programme was indeed a Christmas present from my lovely girlfriend!! To be honest I am really quite impressed that she went down this route!!

Saying this, she has also come along to several fairs and indeed lent me a few quid when I found some Leeds forties at a very reasonable price....

Did anybody else get any programmes/memorabilia for Christmas?

P.S. She also paid for my forth-coming trip to O/T to see Leeds progress into the 4th round of the Cup!! Laughing Laughing

Not sure if they are like this in Yorkshire mate as we are both from Kent, but she does put up with the hobby on quite a large scale. Couldn't have asked for a better present really.

Maybe a home pre-war next time?????? Think that may be pushing my luck somewhat....

Guessing pre-war Hearts are as common as Leeds home pre-war which is on par with hens teeth??

Pretty much, they ain't too common. Hearts produced substantial 16 page programmes between 1924 - 1940 but it seems the residents of the capital were keen on recycling them......

My Mrs. got me the 1980 European cup v Hamburg, and about 10 progs from the 90's that I was missing. Not bad considering she's a Wednesday fan!

Didn't get any programmes but did get a few more club binders to put them in.
