Laptop Help/Advice Please

What I know about computers you could write on the back of half a stamp so any help with this would be much appriceated, When I loaded up my laptop today the writing on the screen is bigger then my head and I have no idea why

On my notebook, i the bottom right hand corner of the screen is a zoom %, with a small black triangle next to it. If i click on the triangle it gives me a list of different zoom % and a zoom in/out option. If you have the same yo may have accidently increased the zoom, so you will have to decreaseit back again. There may be some other way of doing it too, but im a bit thick too when it comes to computers.

Assuming you're running windows, right click on the desktop and choose personalise and then display settings, in Vista you can then change the resolution there. In XP and previous versions it's slightly different, but it'll still be on the display settings tab somewhere IIRC.
