Hi Bigearl

Does sound excessive however I would say in the sellers defence that his costs were transparent prior to purchase and you accepted those terms when you made the purchase.

Some sellers offer free postage with high buying price some sellers for reasons only known to themselves sell at a low price and add more on postage, some sellers offer a fair price and fair postage, either way that is the cost and it is up to the buyer to say yes or no.

Can't see the point in complaining afterwards.

Best wishes
Martin

Auction houses are the biggest rip off to be honest.

Was charged £15 PLUS VAT of £3 so £18 for a parcel that was sent Royal Mail Special Delivery at an actual cost of £8.55, even allowing a couple of quid for packaging its a piss take

If its ebay, you can mark them down on their DSR's for Postage and Packing Charges.
Anything below 4.6 and your account may well be in danger.
I usually have free postage on my items but with a slightly elevated starting price so i automatically get 5 stars for P and P.
However, each to their own but at £1.20 postage plus ebay charges plus time and effort i would expect to be charged £1.75
Just my tuppence worth Smile Smile

It wasn't an ebay sale btw. It was a private sale from here. The post is just opinion based. I agreed to the sale and never really considered the p and p as this is the first time this item had come up. P and p charges are hard to argue if you really want an item, which is one of the downsides of this hobby.

P**s take. £1.20 for postage, 60/80p for the envelope? £2 max. Better still, re-use good condition envelopes, doing your bit for recycling and reducing p+p costs Laughing

A few months ago, I purchased two lots from Ebay showing £6.50 postage per lot, so a £13 total. I had no problem with that until they turned up in one package with a postage price of £3.90 total. I contacted the seller who swore black was white and he could not refund any postage as his costs were those stated. Total lies!
All I could do was mark down his postage rating.
I have no issue with people covering their costs, but dislike crazy profits being made on the postage and as such have made a mental note never to buy from him again.
