This is my solution - it may not work for you if you want them all in a uniform way:

1. Official club binders (expensive but picked up a few years ago). In the case of Everton - small ones for post-war to 1969, 1969-present day is larger format programme SO larger open front folders - then the newer style box type ones. I decided to just put the year on the side of the box to accommodate them all neatly - no particular reason to have one pers season with smaller/thinner/older ones..

Where this is impractical/costly you could opt for box files or A4 Ring Binders - Penny's idea of those large plastic boxes is equally good (I use a couple of them to dump household stuff and they are usually cheaper for multiple purchases). I'm guessing that many of use fall into the "nice to look at on a shelf neatly stacked" group!

2. For other items: Aways are not yet boxed but intend to place in box files as obviously every other team has different sized formats and this makes it difficult to regulate as above - plastic sleeves are a good idea too (and see 3 below)

3. For all single-sheets place in separate sleeves and file in ring binders or simple paper box organisers - neat enough, retains tidy look and some sort of order (appearance/type/date order etc.) - I don't think you need to bump your gums about this too much as long as you keep your collection in a neat and tidy order... I'm sure once you have done this you will be happy enough with the outcome. To avoid chaos I separated the "other home issues" from (1) above and this allowed me to fit the normal stuff into the regular binders without squashing the oddments in ... also means that the "other stuff" is given a separate place.
