What is your favourite item of ephemera/memorabilia

I said recently that my all time favourite item was the Dinner Menu from United winning the First Division Title in 1907-1908, well here is an item that may not have been 1st bout would b in my top 5 for sure-perhaps even 2nd!

Same season 1907-8 and the club barely 6 seasons old after winning the Title they went on the ir first Tour to Czecheslovakia/Austria/Hungary or as it was known back then the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

This is a players/staff itinerary of the entire trip, to my knowledge only one other copy has surfaced and is in the MUFC museum whilst this incredible item sits in my museum and i do not charge an entrance fee!

Does any other member have anything official from a Tour their club made abroad say pre-1960

I have four Post Office 'Tele-messages' (a late '70's glorified telegram) in their original cards which were sent to The Dell to the Spurs squad for the promotion decider in April 1978.

Without digging them out, I know one is addressed to Keith Burkinshaw, one to Steve Perryman, one is from Truro City FC, forget who the other one is from (I WILL have to dig them out and load them !).

Forget the Cup wins, European nights, semi-finals etc., this was the most important match Spurs have played in the last 40 years. Just think, if Spurs had not come back up at the first attempt.....would Ardiles & Villa come to a Second Division club after the 1978 World Cup ? (I think we know the answer). Would KB have survived a possible boardroom axe ? How many clubs would have wanted to take Steve Perryman back to the First Division ? (Burkinshaw always said the SP was the player he had most enquiries about). Would the young Glenn Hoddle have stayed ? I don't think the F.A. Cup wins of 1981 & 1982 and the 1984 UEFA Cup would be on Tottenham's honours list had they spent another year or two in the Second Division.

Such are the fine margins in football !!!
