Hi
Has anyone any knowledge of the current value of this programme.I have had it for donkeys years and actually bought it believe it or not from an Austrian i met whilst living out there. His father attended the game and although very few people in Austria at the time collected,he decided to hang on to it.
I also have the ticket he used on the day.
Many dedidated England collectors have tried to prise it off me in the last few years because of its rarity and value but i have resisted. But maybe its time to let either the prog or the ticket or both go.
Any info greatly received

Hi Chris, I know nothing about tickets myself but i would imagine that one would be greatly sought after.
As for the programme, I think I'm right in saying there was more than one for this game. The one with the 2 flags on the cover and in large format is available on footballprogrammesdotcom for £750 described as VERY RARE.
Personally cant shed any more light on it, hope this helps, Pablo. |

Hi,
There were two versions available at the match, the Fussball blatt stadium edition is the rare one(red/black/white) and Wiener Kurier edition is worth £150 to £200(white with Austrian/British flag), the Fussball blatt edition used to sell at auction for £500-£600 but recently has sold for as little as £200-£300 at Sportingold, Budds sold both together in May for £420 (see link below)
I would hold on to it for now until things pick up,

Thanks for your help everyone. It is the one with the flags on i have.Although i am a very new member on the forum it never ceases to amaze me the knowledge and information people have. How on earth did you dig that one out Robert.
Well it appears then that we are looking at between 150 and 750 pounds.I suppose though(he says hopefully)that if the one on ebay didnt run its course then 150 might not be a realistic figure anyway.
Not sure what to do now i was thinking in my head it would be worth around 500
anyway cheers folks _________________ A STAG AND PROUD OF IT

I don't think Sportingold have had one in for a while so if you were going to sell maybe give them a try, the next auction is December 17, as long as you send items off to them 4 weeks before the auctions it would be included in time, i have sold a few England programmes with them over the years and they always do quite well, they usually go for far more than the estimate because there is always more than one bidder, if you were looking to get say £400+ for the programme you could always try it with a £400 reserve then if it fails to sell its then up to you whether to have it included in the next auction or have it sent back, they don't charge anything if it fails to sell whereas i think Budds and some other auction houses charge fees for unsold items/storage etc, |

Costs at Sportingold are the seller will pay 11.5% inc VAT of the hammer price, If it doesn't sell I dont think you pay anything.
The person to get in touch with is Chris Williams 0n 01494 565921 or email at [email protected] |
