magnificent programme in dreadful condition. What would you do ? Wait till another better copy came along Sad . Buy it whatever the price ( it's unique) , or pass on it, the condition is not worth saving ?

TBH, I've seen programmes in a lot worse condition.

If you need it as part of your collection I would keep it and upgrade if the opportunity arises.

I think an upgrade in this situation will probably never happen. I just wonder if some programmes are so old and rare that people will buy them whatever the condition, or if the condition is so terrible they just don't want it. In my opinion , I'd be reluctant to pay a huge amount if major parts/pages/text were missing. If it were a case of badly crumpled , torn to bits or even water damaged, as long as it was complete then I'd probably have a bid and try and have it restored as best as possible.

If it is rare, then one in any condition is worth saving.

I wouldn't restore it either. You'd be diluting its authenticity.
