At the Giant New Year on 4th January's fair I will be breaking up a huge fresh collection of Non League programmes. There are 1,000 plus programmes from at least 500 different clubs available at £1 each.

I will also have over 1,000 'new to stock' 1960's programmes, all in excellent condition available at £2 each plus six boxes of British clubs' European competitions programmes from the 1960's onwards again at £2 each.

EVERY single vintage item on my back boards will be fresh to stock from my previous fair. There are over 200 fresh pre 1955 items making a selection of over 800 on my stand in total. All are in excellent condition, NO writing.

In addition to the above I will have the usual vast selection of big match finals internationals etc, Charles Buchan magazines, bargain bundles and much more!

As always, should any forum member like to view any items listed on www.footballprogrammes.com website then please either email [email protected] or drop me a PM with details of what you would like me to bring along and I will be happy to do so.

May I wish everyone a very happy New year and I look forward to seeing those of you who are attending the fair at the Royal National hotel on the 4th January.

Whats the difference between a London Fair and a Northern Fair ?

You can put £1,000 programmes on your backboards and have a chance of selling them. Very Happy

Yes, a pre-war Blackburn v Chelsea would sell if I didn't already have it as well as any other Blackburn pre-war.

Anybody got any?

That is a bit of a sweeping statement bazza.

I would certainly be after any Blackpool pre war that I didn't already have.

In fact this is now the main collecting sphere for me apart from reserves and youth.

If it completed a season, was one from a season I don't have, or was a cup tie or something unusual such as a different style cover, yes I probably would.

But if it was a run of the mill 30s programme, I could not justify paying £1000 even against Chelsea or Manchester United.

Thank you for confirming my quote.

Ive done 150+ Programme fairs north of London and very rarely sold anything on my backboards over £200, and that includes the tight fisted midlanders. I should know I am one.. Cool

Why do you bother doing fairs Baz? You moan about it all the time. It must be worth it, even just a little.

Im not moaning Im just commenting on the truth.

In its Hey Day i used to do 35+ fairs a year now its down to single figures.

Most of the Punters have been after the same elusive programmes that dont exist or wont pay the price for years.

Try them at £150?

I've sold very well at Northern fairs over time, but it was mainly programmes between £5 and £20 each. I never took anything post 1970 unless it was World Cup proper, or some really obscure friendly.....and they all flew out over time.

Northern non league programmes pre 1960 just flew off the shelves if priced with a view to sell, and they still do as I note from sales I've seen on ebay and at any of the major sporting auction houses. I tried to specialise in such items and used to get a healthy clientele at most fairs - Bolton apart!

Enjoyed a couple of hours at the fair today. Not lots of Watford stuff about but managed to pick some nice items off Ian Hands and John Dee.

Attendance was ok too, so hopefully the stallholders had a profitable day.
