That would be the quarter-final 1964-65, the only time they've played each other a the Bernabeu. |

Unfortunately, this seems to have gone quiet, I have had no response to my offer. Anyone else had any joy? |

thanks craig, thats right i am out of the country at mo.back 23rd september.i have sent pms to relative people.sorry i have not been on the ball with values,i am not a collector,i was given these by my dad who attended all games.i am sending couple of tickets to barrett before he pays.i am new on here so i think that is only fair.i will do this for other people as long as they have a reliable history on here of buying and selling.if you are interested in anything i have it will be much easier to make me a fair offer, i will sell for slightly less than going rate.i am on holiday and the last thing i want to be doing is trawling various sites when i could be in the pub enjoying the weather!hope to hear back from some of you soon.

Zongalero, alrady got my bids in for the Everton v Liverpool ticket
I'm starting to scale down my collection abit and wanty to concentrate on Merseyside derby programmes and tickets. Have every programme from now back to 1950 and getting a good ticket run going too. Would love to own an Everton v Liverpool ticket from back then though! |

I've told him that the 1911 ticket is probably worth atleast 800 pounds, if advertised correctly and sold through one of the big three ( mullocks, bonhams\graham budd) then going to go for its true worth.
If sold on ebay with a long auction ( over 9 days) then it could also fetch roughly the same.
Please don't try and rip him off with offers around 100-200 though |

Hi, in my opinion I would be amazed if it raised that kind of figure and I agree with the £100 valuation. Programmes from 1905 fetch approximately £100. I know tickets may seem rarer, but your valuation is far too high. IF you know differently and can show where you have seen a value realised at this level I will stand corrected.
Best wishes

Tend to agree with the £800 evaluation as being completely off the radar. The £100 evaluation is in the right area, but, it's only worth whatever any one person will pay for it. What the £800 evaluation has done is to probably stop the item being sold to anyone on here who seriously wanted it as the owner will obviously check out the auction houses now. Eaby? You're having a laugh if you think ANYTHING reaches it's true potential on there nowadays - it's a buyer's market, make no mistake about that. |

I thought the same, when I first PMed him on here I told him it was probably worth 350-700, but haveing searched all the usaul places I cannot find any everton tickets being sold from around this time.
Then you have to take into consideration that Everton are a well collected club.
What you have to remember is that for a item like this the auction house that sells it will probably have a list of everton collectors with a track record of bidding on these items and advertise it to them.
You have to bear in mind the fact its everton from a era thats highly sought after.
Whats wrong with ebay, Idon't buy from there but I have friends that do and yes you do get problems but if your carefull and well informed then its perfectly safe. |

£100.00 - £150.00 is the going rate for an Everton ticket from that era ..... i can say this as I have many in my collection.
So I doubt anybody would be ripping him off with a valuation around this mark. |

How does putting the ticket through one of the big auction houses - and you missed out Sportingold, the football specialist - equate getting the same response from ebay from a 10 day sale? The overwhelming majority of ebay bids are put on in the last 10 minutes, so if you list at a sensible time, say Thursday evening, you only need to put them on for 3 days as that takes in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
Ebay is a buyer's market, not a seller's one, and you're doing the guy a disservice advising him that he'd get a decent price on there. Take into account listing fees (which would need to safeguard the ticket, so would be higher than normal); selller fees, and Paypal fees and you are undoubtedly giving him misleading information re it's sale. |

ok maybe I'm wrong but my first thoughts were just over 350 but having searched through all the usual places I can't find one similiar.
Don't get me wrong if this guy sells it through Bonhams or Mullucks or graham Budd and it does only reach 100-200 then I will accept that I am wrong.
In these circumstances we have to try to guess what its worth because we have not seen one sell for a while. It only takes two collectors to want/need this ticket to complete/compliment their collection and it could go big.
I accept that Zongalero has almost certainly better knowledge of everton stuff than I do but having been involved in this industry for over 20 years I have seen tickets/programmes sell for much more than their worth due to people thinking that it could be the last time to buy that item for a considerable time.
Lets wait and see hopefully he will sell it through Bonhams etc and I will either look extremely shrewd or stupid.

to be fair to me I am telling him that ebay is a last resort and yes it is a buyers market but it has not always been that way.
I have a friend who used to sell on there a lot but but the value of pre 1960s items on there seems to be falling.
Please could you advise why this is
