Well another year is nearly drawing to a close and its now time to think of the things you are hoping for over Christmas and the coming year either collecting wise or hopes for your club.
As someone who gave up collecting programmes a few years ago and now looking solely for Leicester City handbooks / LCFC player autobiographies some nice pre-war ones wouldn't go a miss trouble is they usually cost the earth.
As for things on the pitch another win would be nice but can't see that happening yet not with our next few games being against Man City, West Ham and Tottenham and looking forward to the end of January when we can do the double over Man Utd (Well I can but dream).

For me there can be only one wish for next year.
To get out of this godforsaken division and back into the league.

A nice little win over the Dog and Duck on Sunday to kick start our season into a long undefeated run......

Finding a box of pre war programmes at 1970s prices...

England installed as odds on favourites to win the European Championships....

I can always see the positive side of things, if things don't go as I hope, at least I won't have to spend £100 + a year on bulky current issues.
Sad

Oi Laughing Grimsby Town fan here........... you need a few more seasons down here to fully appreciate the true depths of where you/we are. Half a season doesn't even scratch the surface Smile

Sure you are right TT. Strangely I am very much enjoying it so far. Great fans and of course we arn't getting beaten so often. But the stick we are getting from the other lot south of the river makes the need to get back urgent to say the least.

Football hope: to see York win at home on Boxing Day. No wins at the House of Pain for 13 games, and the club "record" of 14 will be equalled then if we don't beat Accrington. The same Accrington who have stolen a point deep into stoppage time in their last two visits. Crying or Very sad

Collecting hope : pick up a few more tickets and teamsheets as the programme sets are just about there.

Forum hope : a bit less oneupmanship and a bit more appreciation of each other's collections.

I'd like to see clubs

a) dispense with shirt advertising

b) go back to issuing programmes with no more than 16 pages

c) agree to no more than one loan player in their team at any given time

On the collecting front, to track down the Amateur Cup Final issues from the 1930s that I'm missing would be great.

Probably more achievable than filling those seemingly unfillable holes in my Derby collection!

(55/6 away at Barrow, anyone??)
