Quality penants and scarves from Europe.

At the Auchinleck Talbot Fair today I was given some stunning penants and scarves that were presented as gifts to Charlie Richmond, an Auchinleck lad who was an SFL and UEFA referee.

Some of them have the match inscriptions on them, and they are all obviously officially sanctioned gifts. Some of the penants have the words "Referee" or "Fourth Official" on them, and I have 7 of these that were from the SFA, covering full internationals, youth internationals and under 21's etc. They all have the heavy metal cross bar, and some of them haven't even been taken out of their plastic coverings.

Hope that's come out okay Tynie.

That's the only full Scottish international, but all the others are in exactly the same fashion, and are as follows.

1. Scotland vs Poland 06/12/2005 at Rugby Park, designated for the fourth official. This was a Morrisons Future Team International Challenge match, whatever that was (under 21's maybe)

2. Scotland vs Iceland at Firhill 28/02/2006, designated for the fourth official. A Morrisons Under 21 International Challenge Match.

3. Scotland vs Norway at Rugby Park 20/05/2008, again designated for the fourth official. This was a Cashback Under 21 International Challenge Match.

4. Scotland vs Switzerland at Strathclyde Homes Stadium, Dumbarton 25/09/2002, designated for the referee. This was a Safeway Under 19 International Challenge Match.

5. Scotland vs Belgium 27/09/1999 Three Nations Under 17 Tournament at Palmerston Park. No designation.

6. Juniors "B" (under 17) at Viseu 9th to 12 April 2003. This was a tournament in Portugal, but penant has exactly the same details including SFA badge on it.

7. Scotland vs Croatia - Charlie was the designated fourth official there as well.

My primary aim is to try and raise as much money for Auchinleck Talbot, of course. I have done some research on ebay, and see similar quality penants being sold at a BIN price of £35 plus.

These are quality items, all with the heavy metal cross pieces and gold braiding, and are all brand spanking condition. If it's any guideline I'm looking for £40 for the Scotland vs Croatia one, and £30 each for the others. Will deduct £40 if anybody wants to buy the lot though, albeit I'd require something like £10 postage because of the size, weight, and sending them 1st class Special Delivery.

Glad you like it Stephen. It's amazing how the donations just keep on coming. Got the Charlie Richmond stuff at the fair on Sunday, albeit I knew it was coming, and a donation from one of ATFC's favourite sons at Edinburgh before the Scottish Cup tie on Saturday. I also got a donation of 1960's Scottish programmes from blackburncollector on here - many thanks - and a delivery of current season Highland League on the Friday. Am still collecting one or two lots of items at every home game as everyone in the club has bought into it big style.

We're hoping to get a programme shop set up as part of the regeneration off the ground so we can get a regular income from it. Don't know if there's any other Scottish non league club with one, and just having that facility will lure the groundhoppers to us, and am really looking forward to running it when we eventually get it up and running.
