About Me

What do you do for a living?

Currently in retail, but about to go travelling.

Which club do you support and why?

Leyton Orient, because somebody has to! :D

What do you collect?

Currently collecting Orient programmes from 1962/63 (our only season in the top flight), Orient's FA Cup run of 77/78 and the odd Redhill programme.

How did you get into programme collecting?

I used to be a regular at Kiln Brow (home of Redhill), so used to pick up a programme every week. That later transfered over to Orient as well.

Your Collection

What was your first football programme?

1996 European Championship Semi Final

What was the last programme you bought?

Middlesbrough v Orient 1977/78 FA Cup

How big is your collection?

Not very unfortunately as most of my cash is going toward the travelling fund, though hoping to increase it dramatically when i get back!

How do you store your collection?

In Acid Free comic book bags in box binders, or in presentation folders.

Whats the oldest programme you own?

Ones from the 62/63 season

What is the rarest item in your collection?

Not too sure.

Which programme from your club is the rarest and most expensive to obtain?

All of the old Pre War Clapton Orient ones are pretty expensive (to my budget anyway!)

What is...?

What is your worst buy?

Orient v Arsenal 1962, but only because of the stupid amount i spent on it!

What is your best buy?

Manchester United v Orient 1963, because i got it for 50p

What is the most you have paid for a programme and which one?

Orient v Arsenal, £17, though it was when i was first starting up so thought it was a bargain :(

What is the most you have received for a programme and which one?

Not sold any yet

What is your most prized programme?

Orient v Man U 62/63, signed by Terry McDonald (the goal scorer on the day)

Whats your biggest regret in collecting?

Not having enough money!

The Hobby

In you opinion, is the programme collectors communtiy shrinking or growing?

Growing. Purely because it has all become so easy with the internet.

What do you enjoy most about the hobby?

Winning bids and waiting for them to come through

Where do you buy most of your programmes from?

eBay

The Future

If money was no object, which programme would you most like to add to your collection?

1966 World Cup Final

Would you ever sell your collection?

Not unless it was that or bankruptcy!

How do you wish to develop your collection over the coming years?

I want to try to complete from 1961/62 to now, though it seems an impossible task
