Just had a relaxing 21 days in Tenerife Mick. Bargain apartment in a wonderful hotel booked online privately. Never, ever had better value for money, and if I tell you it was only £270 per week for a two bedroomed apartment on the 6th floor with ocean views in a proper 4 star hotel........Chuck in the flights from Ryanair and it cost us less than £1k for the 3 weeks between us. Folk who were paying for full board at the same hotel were being charged £900 per week each, and that was for a room not an apartment. Makes retirement all the more worthwhile!

Very nice John, but I'm sure you missed that lovely Scottish weather, and the mighty Auckinlech Talbot!

Did have withdrawal symptoms coming back on Saturday when it came to kick off time and we were still over the Atlantic. When I said to my wife that I was "pining for Auchinleck at the moment" she just rolled her eyes and sighed. Women.......

Nice thought Nozer, but if it was "paying well" I wouldn't be able to afford 3 weeks out of a business! More of something "more than a hobby" but definitely not full time - didn't retire to work full time again. The opportunity to have 3 weeks in sunny weather whilst this country was going to be in the grip of Arctic weather was too good to miss. More so as it cost me the equivalent of what a lot of people spend on one week away in the summer?

If you hadn't realised before, it's a Forum for football fans, some of whom have a sense of humour - something that has obviously bypassed your good self. I would suggest that you think before you make such comments again. No No No

T*W*A*T!!!

Why don't you do all of us a favor and get a forum of your own, that way we don't have to put up with the continued drivel you seem to produce!!

I am at the point where I don't want to participate on this excellent forum because of you!!
I am certain I am not the only one!!!!
