Does anyone know what the oldest available Orient programme is?

I know there first league game was 2nd September 1905 vs Leicester Fosse (Away). The first home game was against Hull City on 9th September 1905.

Was there a programme issused for either game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Programme Monthly had the earliest progamme down as Clapton Orient v Brighton 1908/09.

This was some time ago, so perhaps someone has found something earlier since then.

regards, Mark

Cheers Mark.

Did it happen to say what sort of price it would go for?

Hi Chaps! a fellow Orient collector perhaps?

anyway i recently bought a bundle of football programme monthlys and to my joy in the April 2005 issue there was an A to Z from an Orient collector called Ken Mortimer, where when asked his earliest issue said his was from the away match at Hull City v Clapton Orient from the 6th of Jan 1906!! a single card issue from Hulls days at the Boulevard! gotta be worth a few quid im sure....his collection sounds amazing and as of april 2005 only needed 10 from the 1940's to of gone back that far!

he also had in his collection Clapton Orient v Grimsby 1913-14

would love to spend an afternoon looking through his collection,

if theres any spares i might be able to help you out with drop us a line although ive not bundles of spares i do have a few

Hope this helps mate
kind regards Stew

in the light of the other posts this seems to be a relatively modern programme but i have on my flickr site an Orient v Manchester United programme from 1924/25.To be precise it is 4/10/1924.
It is the oldest Manchester United programme i have in my collection against Orient.
I think the value of this is anything between £600 and £1000.
In the current market it is difficult to hit a valuation. It might not sell at £600 but if enough people want it badly enough it might go significantly higher than £1000.
Take a look at the link to my flickr site.It is in the set marked 1924/25.Hope it amuses you.

Lovely programme, might take a few weeks more pocket money before I can afford it however.

Just read in 'Leyton Orient the complete record' that the first home match that there was a programme issued at was Hull City 2nd of September 1907.

Anyone got a spare?
