Final lots as detailed below, plus bid guide prices which I hope will attract the bidders. There will be an accompanying letter going with them though advising Chris that I don't want to see any of them returned as it's all about raising money for Cancer Research - so there may be some bargains to be had if reserve prices are not met.

1. 1958 World Cup Argentina vs Czechoslovakia £30 - £40

2. 1900-1901 Sheff. Weds reserves vs Swinton £30 - £35

3. 1903-1904 Sheff. Weds reserves vs Gainsborough (who were a Football League team at the time) £30 - £35

4. 5 x Southern Irish programmes 1941-2 to 1953-4 £20 - £25

5. Bournemouth v Watford 1946-47 £25 - £30

6. Sunderland v Liverpool 1946-47 £50 - £70

7. Aldershot v Cardiff 1934-35 £70 - £90

8. 10 x Boston Utd mid / late 1950's homes, plus 64-5 Boston F.C. v Grimsby £20 - £25

9. 50 plus Manchester Utd reserve programmes from 57-8 onwards (no tokens) £20 - £25

10. 14 x Manchester Utd. 7 homes from 48-9 onwards, including John Aston benefit, 7 aways include 47-8 @Chelsea, 48-9 @ Charlton £30 - £40

11. 23 x 40's and 50's including 48-9 B'ham v H'field; 47-8 Grimsby reserves v Frickley; 47-8 Arsenal v Blackpool (pirate) 50-1 Southend reserves v Swansea; 48-9 Lincoln v York; 49-50 Fulham v Villa; 49-50 Wolves v Sheffield Utd; Newport v Reading 50-1; Man. Utd v Liverpool, Chelsea 51-2; 50-1 Reading v Dartford FACup; 55-6 Barnsley v Plymouth; 50-1 Newcastle v Bury FACup; 49-50 Darlington v A.Stanley; 52-3 Sunderland v Derby; 51-2 Brentford v Notts. Co; 51-2 Chelsea v Pompey; 51-2 Sheff.Weds v Coventry; 50-1 Arsenal v WBA; 53-4 Luton v Forest; 51-2 Stockport v Lincoln; 54-5 Stockport v Southport. £80 - £100

12. 49-50 Queen's Park v Forfar £15 - £20

13. Manchester Utd Europeans HOMES 56-7 v R.Madrid, 57-8 v Shamrock, Dukla, Red Star, 58-9 v BSC Young Boys (57-8 AND 58-9 have no tokens) AWAYS at 63-4 Sporting Club; 64-5 Borussia Dortmund; 65-6 Nuremberg, Partizan £20 - £30

14. Mixed bag, including 1953 brochure "Blackpool to Wembley"; b&w photograph of Cowie Juveniles hoisting the Scottish Juvenile Cup 1954-5; colour poster Jurgen Blin vs Joe Bugner advertising their fight for the European H'weight Ch'ship in 72 at the Albert Hall; Day and Mason FA Cup 1953 annual; 1955 England v Scotland songsheet; Charles Buchan Monthly May 1957 and 1958 FACup Final specials; Goal May 2, 1970 European Cup Final special; 1942 x 2 promotional handbills for wrestling at the Ardwick Stadium, Manchester; 1970 menu from Football Writer's Association Footballer of the Year night; 2 x early 20th centruy football related postcards; Alan Ball's autograph on white card; and various items relating to a referee in the Liverpool and Lancashire leagues late 1960's / early 1970's plus various other bits and bobs, and a damaged 1948 FAC Final £30 - £40

15. Stockport County x 18 homes and aways late 50's / early 60's £20 - £25

16. Forest modern European home and aways plus 92 League Cup Final and 91 FAC Final £20 - £30

Original intention was to raise £400, and if these go through at their minimum bid prices there'll be £535 by my reckoning. Items are going down to Sportingold on Monday and they will be going into the December sale.

Whilst I think this is Johns's thread can I update forum members.

Some time ago I offloaded a good few non league stuff via ebay and their Charity giving scheme. As a result £100 was raised that was gifted to Cancer Research. I advertised the fact on the ebay sale that I was doing under the footballprogrammecentre scheme to raise money for Cancer Research which is something ForestMick started with his cards.

It is highly commendable what the guys are doing but for obvious reasons didn't really want to get 7 bankers boxes of non league stuff flying about the country since it would have cost more in transport than they were worth

This message is for info only but when you come to tot up what was raised don't forget to add the £100

Have a good week end chaps and don't let your braces dangle!

Stirling work sir! The card I did on here also raised £60, and I've been donating a percentage of the proceeds from all my sales from ebay to Cancer Research, which at last count was around the £50 mark, and I will do this with all my sales on there. I think it's great how everyone has got involved in this, just shows that there are still some good eggs around. Thumbs Up

Hi John,

Thanks for sending the items which have arrived safely (I think Emily called you) , thank you for your kind suggestions re publicity etc, we certainly have no objection. We will make out the cheque for the proceeds to Cancer Research as requested.

Thank you.

Best regards

Chris

Hi Chris, have just sent you down a parcel, special delivery, of the programmes that have been donated for Cancer Research from members of the Football Programme Forum. Your secretary said that they could be included in the November sale, but would much prefer it to be the December one as that's what we've been aiming for. They're being sold on behalf of Cancer Research, and I thank you for your generosity in agreeing to sell them for us commission free. I've explained all this in the letter accompanying the lots anyway. I'd also like to have a small bit in Programme Monthly about the sale if it's okay with you?
Similarly, when the accounts are ready for paying out, could you please ensure that the cheque is made out to Cancer Research rather than myself? I'll also try and get a photo shoot in the local paper, and will, of course, mention Sportingold when doing so,

thanks again, John

p.s could you please let me know when the parcel arrives?
