I put a few on but keep getting logged out after each picture is uploaded and then there was the fact that i had to resize all my images saved on the PC for them to be accepted needless to say i got bored rather quick.

Well its a new function on the site and works fine for me. As was shown recently when someone reported a problem on the site when they were typing messages, if im informed people are having problems I can work to resolve them.

The file upload before its resized by the server is set to allow pictures up to 1024 x 768 which is rather large anyway. What size are the pictures you are trying to upload??

As for signing you out, is this a problem you get anywhere else on the site? It was mentioned by another user recently as a problem and again i worked on a fix and have had no further feed back on this so i assume this worked for that member. I will find that thread now to follow up..

I've not had one for a couple of years since moving to Windows 7, so no scanning of my collection for quite a while

I've managed to upload 1 photo, tried a few others but keeps saying they are too big. Haven't got a clue how to make the images smaller?!
Can anyone help?!

All PC's are different but if you go to your picture files, find the picture and click in to it you should be able to resize it from there, on mine i have a zoom option and the pictures are set at 100% i then ''zoom'' 25% which makes them 4 times smaller then re save it replacing the existing picture, then they upload no probs you may need to make them even smaller before they are accepted. If you need any more help i'm probably not the man to ask, everything i know about computers was self taught and i would still class myself as ''fairly useless'' on them at best even after 10 years or so using it.

Try......

Right click on photo.
Click on "Open with"......Use Microsoft office pic manager.

At top of Picture click "Edit pics"

On your Right hand side click "Compress Pics"
Click "web pages"

Click ok and save.

eg....1.44MB Photo now 1.44Kb

Am afraid it's all way above my head! Haven't a clue what you guys are even on about.....Is it something important? If it's somebody wanting to view a mugshot of me I have no problem with that but would suggest you do so via my Facebook page where there's plenty of them, including numerous ones from this year's Scottish Junior Cup Final.
