Which of my fellow forum members has the joys of working nights?

How do you occupy your time when it's quiet?

I've another 5 hours to go this morning and already been through Fleabay twice. Can't get access to Facetwitter or any naughty sites. Even Youtube has its restrictions.

I used to be able to get to paid to shop, Sheffield Forum, Facebook, all now blocked, in fact any message board/forum is usually blocked.

So fingers crossed FPC doesn't get spotted on the radar.

Work comes a very poor second at present. Just seen our new working pattern for 2011 and its good bye Christmas and New Year Sad

Fortunatly not me anymore ,retired last year after 45 years with the same firm, i am now part time grave digger and gardener at my local Church (place of worship).
Spend most of my time looking after my sick wife, and collecting memo re the late great Derek Dougan.

I actually work sometimes when I'm on week about nights....Not for much longer though, the great God that is Dumfries and Galloway Council have deemed my services surplus to requirements come March. Still desperately trying my best to access my deferred pension from 2003 as part of going. Get it, I'll be a jolly fancy Dan. Don't get it...miserable bastard extraordinary (and don't say you won't notice the difference)
I'm lucky though that I chose to only work 36 hours per fortnight, rather than a week in my run down to retirement. Would have liked to have kept going for another 3 years, but can't thanks to that nice Mr. Cameron, the toffee nosed, Eton faced, shiseter of a con man, and his arch henchman Clegg - motto "I can't even lie straight in bed"

Although I haven't worked nights for ten years or more, we used to have tv with built in video player for presentation purposes. I had all my favourite programmes on record and spent about 5 hours a night in front of the box. Even easier these days with a laptop or purpose built mini dvd player, or even a phone with a decent data plan which will give you your own net access too.
