Hello
Hopefully your item will arrive tomorrow and unfortunately due to work commitments, Friday afternoon and Saturday Mornings are the only 2 days i can get to the post office hence why i state item will be dispatched within 3-5 days from receipt of payment and yours was posted 2 days after payment was received.
Many Thanks

Personally, I may have not been so polite when replying!

If he hasn't paid by paypal he can't get a refund anyway unless you send him a cheque or postal order back so there would be no point opening a case, i recently sold a ticket and programme for about £12.00 and the buyer paid me 3 weeks late and in stamps and sent me a message 2 days after he'd posted the stamps to let me know he wasn't happy his items hadn't arrived yet.
On ebay if you state the item will be posted with second class postage the estimated delivery time is noted at the bottom as 6-8 days, i would point this out to him if he asks where the item is again.

Jesus some people on ebay are a nightmare!

Must admit I have noticed that a lot of the low value items I sell are going to kids these days. I know this by street style of the writing and there genuine lack of respect.

Please post his e-bay user ID (or drop me a PM) so that I can add him to my blocked bidders list.

We have a feed back post where we applaud the nice guys amongst us. We could also have a 'be careful with' post for those of us casual ebay sellers that have been inconvenienced by impolite and impatient people.

I actually had a warning from ebay to sort a problem over apparent none delivery to a buyer 2 hours after the buyer had posted positive feedback. Hows that work then?

I would send him his programme, as you already have, and ban him from your list ASAP so this guy cannot buy more things from you and cause you hassle or leave negative feedback.

I bought a programme, paid by paypal and a ticket arrived for that game but no programme. I wrote to the seller pointing out his mistake and he replied, " sorry about that, programme on it's way, please keep the ticket". Brilliant. No fuss, no crap. On the whole i have been very lucky with ebay. One guy was a bit of a nightmare in paying, but i told him in no uncertain terms i wanted payment and i finally got paid, but apart from that , i would say 99 percent of transactions are hassle free.

The last non-programme item I sold on ebay was a mobile phone that I'd bought (also on ebay) for a friend who decided she didn't want it after all. It sold straight away, off it went special delivery and I got positive feedback the next day, but a couple of days later an e-mail said it wasn't working. The purchaser said she'd taken it to a local shop and the mike had come loose and it would cost £20 to fix. To be fair I hadn't tested it other than turned it on and off, so I offered a full refund including postage or to get it fixed locally and I would pay the cost. The buyer said they'd rather have a refund. I agreed and stupidly refunded before receiving the phone back. No second guesses what happened. Opening a claim on ebay was a waste of time, as the buyer just closed it as resolved! Promises to send, refund the money, all bogus and contact has petered out over the six months since, despite my weekly e-mail reminder. I really don't fancy a trip to Barnsley for the sake of £90 or so, but live in hope although not expectation that one day I'll get my cash or phone back!
