I wanted to let members know about my book that has now been published.

A 12-year labour of love, the book covers the history of Brighton's programme from the primitive match cards of the late 19th century, right up to today's lavish productions.

As well as the programme history, there are sections on manager's notes, player profiles and the 1983 FA Cup run, as well as detailed section on how the programme played its part in the fight for Albion's new stadium at Falmer.

The book looks great . Hope it does well for you. I remember as a kid the excitement when we found out that one of the best centre- forwards in the country ( if not Europe) was coming to Prenton Park to play in a 4th Div game . Nov 1964 Bobby Smith leading the line for Brighton . Tranmere won 4-2 ( don’t remember much about the game but l remember Bobby Smith) but Brighton went on to win the league that season .
