John White

There’s an interesting article about John White on the BBC page. I did see him play. It was the game when Everton beat Spurs 1-0 to more or less clinch the 1962-63 title , but apart from the winning goal can’t remember too much about the day. Apparently John was a brilliant player and a key member of that great early 1960s Spurs team. John died tragically in 1964. It was sad to read that his son has never even heard his dad’s voice. I suppose we are now used to hearing too modern day players being interviewed .
