Are These Gents Football People?

This photo was taken at a dinner ,, Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London 4May 1966. England beat Yugoslavia 2-0 earlier that day. On the back it states : Grosvenor House Photographic Service. I think they might be football people, perhaps some are club chairmen or referees? Is that the lpswich chairman John Gobbold sitting to the left with possibly a young Philip Carter( before he became Everton Chairman years later) behind him. Is the bald gent Stan Cullis? Some of the other faces look familiar, but can’t place them. Thanks for any help.J

Sadly I don't recognise anyone, I don't think Stan Cullis is any of the bald blokes. I hope someone can ID one of them for you.

If that was an all ticket event by the FA, then i don't know about Stan Cullis but Stan Flashman was probably there.

bee, the man at the back looks like Kojac! I might be totally on the wrong track with the idea that they are football people. Could be a works night out?

The one turning to face the camera, to the right of the number 31 in the picture, might be George Wigg. He was a Labour MP at the time and shortly afterwards Chairman of the Horserace Betting Levy Board. I can't immediately recognise any of the others as either politicians or racing people though.

Trieste to Trapani,, thanks for the reply. I’ve had a look at photos of George Wigg, but doesn’t appear to be him. Perhaps the dinner was nothing to do with sport?
