help from Liverpool collectors

I enclose a copy of liverpool v pompey 1948/49 from e bay

appears genuine but different to the copy I have.......

Did liverpool produce different covers during that season ?

I presume you have a copy of this one ?



It seems to have happened for several (if not all) games during that season. I've seen examples of 2 different covers for too many of them to be a one-off.

There will be a few of us thumbing through our collections tonight perhaps adding another possible issue to our wants list.

The copy without the illustration is vey similar to the 47/8 Liverpool issues. It would be good to get a definitive answer from the Liverpool collectors on the forum.

There must be some liverpool experts out there ?

Just for info the seller sent me scans of the inside pages......Exactly the same, so only the cover different..
