Do you agree with the description? "This has no writing inside and is in excellent condition". Now if it had no photo and you bought this programme on description alone you would be horrified when it arrived.

That's unbelievable...! I suppose your only hope would have been to pay through Paypal for that programme, then lodged a dispute if it arrived in that creased condition if there had been no photo.

I see no returns are accepted.

I have purchased a lot of programmes on eBay over the years that have simply not turned up as described. I remember one programme described as mint turning up with writing, bits cut out and pages missing. It can be very upsetting especially when the seller refuses to offer a refund or pay for the cost of returning the item. Thankfully, I haven't had too many problems and it has always worked out for me ok. The programme mentioned was a 67 or 68 League Cup Final programme which the seller refunded in full and told me to keep the programme, not that it was worth anything at all in that state.

Perhaps in his day job he's an estate agent Smile

The postage of 2.25 second class also has a fantastic outlook.

Most programmes sent to me come with cardboard backing but one recently arrived in just a envelope and it had been screwed up in the sorting machine at the mail centre. What a mess it was. Luck for me it was only a 99p copy but needless to say i won't buy any more from the sender.

I am glad that my copy of that programme does not look like that!

What is its true value now...? It used to be a £100 plus issue shortly after it was printed but prices have been driven down massively now - £25ish and then they don't always sell?

To be fair the sellers are not collectors and dont really understand what collectors require. They do show a picture so they are being honest.
One of the worst culprits is that guy who sells programmes with all his life history, they are all in excellent condition, but if you can be bothered to read all his crap, they are usually in excellent condition, with wring on cover and creases and folds and bits missing Laughing
Best advice is dont buy off him

Here is a crafty way to jazz up a programme....claim a 5-4 home win was a 6-6 draw.
