Can anyone help me with a date / approx value of these three badges?

Both of the Man Utd badges are by Coffer. Then WHU does not state a maker.

Thanks in anticipation.

All three are circa 1970s mate.

The WHU Insert is almost certainly from around 1978 to 80, and the two United badges possibly a bit earlier, 1975-ish maybe (1975-77) - Leslie will know for sure.

The United "Champions" badge may refer to the Second Division title of 1974//75, so that would certainly tie in with my 'guesstimate' of date.

Coffer also made many of the insert badges, so all three probably originate from the same source.

Very nice badges btw.

PS. Re values - the first United one is the most valuable I'd say, possibly £10-12 - maybe £6-7 for the United crest which is more common - and £5-7 for the Hammers Insert.

On loan to me for display in the shop at the moment is this denim jacket which belonged to a lad from the Holyhead Reds who ran coaches to all United's games in the 70s and 80s. He was a member of the famous/notorious (delete as appropriate!) Red Army and the patched-up and badged-up Wrangler jacket was the de facto uniform of the day,
Lovely collection of badges and the jacket is a real talking point when people come in the shop be they Reds or followers of other teams.

Great jacket, absolutely love the 70s.
All that's missing is an arm with a Silk "Screamer" (scarf) tied to the wrist.

Smile

Pleasure buddy, they're only educated guesses though - the Champions badge might well be worth more, a "sleeper" if you like, it's not one I recall seeing before.

There's certainly a great market out there for the scarcer United badges.

Leslie would know for sure.

Good luck with them.
